Introducing the Adamas by RAE, a blend of fine jewellery artistry and thoughtful engineering. Guided by our co-founder and seasoned jewellery designer, William, we set out to bring a touch of the diamond’s timeless beauty to the world of mechanical keyboards. The Adamas reflects this vision, balancing form and function with a careful attention to detail. The design of Adamas is inspired by the elegance of a diamond, with each curve and line thoughtfully crafted to mirror the facets that create a gemstone’s sparkle. Made from durable 6063 aluminium, the body of Adamas has a subtle strength, while the internal weight gives it a satisfying heft, offering a solid, full-bodied typing experience. The heart of Adamas lies in its sandblasted copper weights, both internal and external, showcasing our dedication to craftsmanship and precision. The external weight, viewable from the bottom, reflects the top profile of a diamond,a nod to its inspiration. A small badge on the back left corner completes the design, hinting at the clean lines and profile of a diamond.

Introducing Aurum by RAE, following the Adamas, we wanted to create something that felt equally deliberate but carried a different kind of presence. Where the Adamas drew from brilliance and facets, Aurum finds beauty in calm precision, in the quiet glow of something enduring. Aurum is a 60% keyboard inspired by a form I encounter often in my jewellery work, the gold bar. Not for its value, but for its form. The way it holds its geometry with confidence, its smooth planes, and the warmth it reflects. I wanted to translate that same sense of timeless composure into a keyboard that feels balanced, grounded, and lasting. The foundation of Aurum lies in the pursuit of simplicity refined through detail. Every surface and line was drawn with restraint, shaped to let proportion and finish speak louder than embellishment. From the first concept sketch to the third and final prototype, every iteration was a process of refinement. The goal was finding harmony between sharpness and softness, structure and warmth.
